Self-portrait, version 2

At Araceli’s suggestion I went back to the drawing board. Perhaps the result is a little severe, but when did you ever see a self-portrait of someone—even Norman Rockwell—smiling?
I also tried my hand at rendering my better half—from memory. It doesn’t do her justice.

I just wasted a few minutes with Portrait Illustration Maker (via Ned Batchelder) and here’s the result. I think I came out looking more like an animé Richie Cunningham than like myself.
