Sitting Star, noble son of Dreamer-Minstrel

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, or in this case, the arrow from the bow. Our eldest is in kindergarten, and this week they learned about Native Americans. Their wonderful teacher went so far as to give them all Indian names based on some of their more salient characteristics. Our son came home with the name Sitting Star, we assume because he’s a diligent worker and is always on task at his desk. He was not pleased with his name. He wanted to be War Eagle like his classmate, Trenton.

It’s hard to be a Jonsson. end of entry

  1. I guess maybe we Jonsson men need these wimpy monikers to keep our hawkish tendencies in check.
