Laid off

Apparently they didn’t have any further use for my skills. Oh, well. I didn’t much like that job anyway.

In case your heart is all aflutter in my behalf (I’m aflattered, by the way), I’m still gainfully employed, just not by the government.

Plaintiff didn’t show. Case dismissed. Jury dismissed.

But whatever happened to severance pay? end of entry

    I opened up my RSS browser today and read the following Casa Jonsson entry in horror: “Laid Off: Apparently they didn’t have any further use for my skills. Oh, well. I didn’t much like that job anyway … ”

    I click the “read on” link a couple of times, and the Casa Jonsson site is down. I cringe in horror some more. I start typing you e-mail. I go back to the site. It comes back up. I “read on”. I feel a little silly. I type this comment to make you feel a tad bit guilty. :-)
