Nothing good happens after midnight
Isn’t that what concerned parents always seem to be telling their teenagers? Here I am, up past midnight and under the influence of drowsiness, compromising my principles. I’ve started a weblog.
This is hypocritical, you see, because of the disdain I’ve had for the subculture and practice of blogging. It’s vulgar. By turns self-aggrandizing and pathetic. So are webcams.
But my hypocrisy was unmasked. I realized how enjoyable it is for me to read the weblogs of friends and others with worthwhile things to say. And I thought I might get something out of the experience of keeping a weblog even if nobody else does.
But don’t say you weren’t warned. Read at your own risk. Nothing good happens after midnight.
